The main concerns we see are poor reliability, operating and budget drains, and stress issues. Designing a Split Metal Seal is a more difficult engineering challenge than using a non-split pattern. The face of the joint should be square and level despite being separated. There are many engineers. The real face is made as a face without regular holes, and it is poured properly to achieve smoothness of the face. After checking the flat face, the face of the gasket is divided into two mating halves that fit together in a special way. This avoids trying to match the parts to create a Seal ring.

The profile of the seal ring is carefully maintained so that the two mating faces remain in contact when temperature and pressure changes affect the seal face.
